Saint Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology

Formation and Education for the Life of the Church

Month in Pictures: November 2015

November kicked off with All Saints and All Souls days. In the evening on Nov. 1, the seminarians processed to the Archabbey Cemetery and placed candles on the departed monks' tombstones. In the morning on Nov. 2, the monastic community processed to the cemetery to remember their deceased brothers.

In the monastery, Fr. Damian Schmelz, OSB, was designated a Sagamore of the Wabash at the beginning of the month, and the vocations office attended the National Catholic Youth Conference. Saint Meinrad's "One Bread, One Cup" program was also represented at the conference.

November presented the opportunity to photograph seminarians and alumni in their ministry assignments. From teaching children's catechesis to playing bingo with seniors, it's always nice to see the Saint Meinrad education put into practice.

Pictures were taken by seminarian Luke Hassler, Br. Lorenzo Peñalosa and Krista Hall.
