Holy Leisure: Show and Tell for Grownups - 159079

Saturday, March 11, 2023
Location: Archabbey Guest House and Retreat Center
Session Faculty: Fr. Simon Herrmann, OSB

As adults, we do a pretty good job of staying busy for the sake of staying busy. We flutter about from activity to activity and commitment to commitment. Are we just moving about, trying to accomplish more and more – and to what end? Holy leisure – taking time for self and restful, creative pursuits – is a lost art of meeting God through hobbies, crafts, and life-giving pastimes. Fr. Simon will offer some reflections on holy leisure, share some of his hobbies, and encourage participants to share about their holy leisure. Bring samples or ideas about your hobbies, bring a book, bring your walking shoes, and prepare your heart for some holy leisure. (9 a.m.-3 p.m. Central Time, $55 per guest)
