Doubting Thomas: Keeping Faith in a Secular Age

The secular world offers many reasons to doubt our Christian faith. How can we keep faith today? We will consider the main sources of doubt: the idea that science can explain everything without God, and the problem of why God would allow so much suffering. We will reflect on the meaning of Creation in light of the scientific theories of the Big Bang and evolution. We will open ourselves to deeper reverence for God, Creation, and the Sacraments of the Church. We will ponder why God allows so much suffering, and seek reconciliation with God through the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
