Fr. Joseph Cox was appointed socius/assistant novice-junior master. He will continue his work with the oblates, in the library, and as secretary to the Council and Chapter.
Fr. Harry Hagan was appointed to membership on the Liturgical Advisory Committee.
Archabbot Kurt Stasiak presided at the Saint Meinrad Benedictine Oblate investiture and oblation services in the Archabbey Church on March 24. Fr. Denis Robinson gave a presentation titled “Oblation and the Domestic Church.”
Fr. Mark O’Keefe was elected to a two-year term on the Board of Trustees of the Seminary and School of Theology.
Fr. Eugene Hensell and Fr. Godfrey Mullen wrote articles for the July issue of Priest magazine. Fr. Eugene’s article was titled “Understanding Matthew 11: Allow Christ to Ease the ‘Burden’ of Discipleship.” Fr. Godfrey’s article was titled “Applying Benedict’s ‘Rule:’ What Priests Can Learn from Monastic Living.”
Fr. Jeremy King was appointed as house assignment coordinator and director of pastoral assistance. He also will serve as a member of the Archdiocesan Corrections Ministry Commission.
Fr. Guy Mansini accepted a three-year term as Max Seckler Chair of Fundamental Theology at Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, FL.
Fr. Christian Raab and Br. John Mark Falkenhain were elected to two-year terms on the Abbot’s Council. Fr. Bede Cisco, Br. Andrew Zimmermann and Fr. Harry Hagan were appointed to one-year terms. The terms began July 1.
Fr. Edward Linton accepted the position of director of the Institute for Continuing Theological Education at the Pontifical North American College in Rome effective August 1.
Fr. Matthias Neuman serves as chaplain of Our Lady of Grace monastery in Beech Grove, IN. Lately, he has been working with the T4 Project, “Wisdom Connections,” of the American Benedictine Sisters Federations. In 2015-2016, he produced a 24-episode program on “Benedictine Monastic History.” In 2016-2017, he gave an 8-episode program on the “Major Documents of the Second Vatican Council.”
